4G - The new technology of Cellular Wireless Service
4G is the latest technology of the today world. In basic term it’s known as the fourth generation of cellular wireless gadgets. It's a successor to 3G and 2G standards. By using 4G Cellular wireless technology one can easily download 1GB data in a minute. A 4G system may upgrade existing communication networks and is expected to provide a comprehensive and secure IP based solution where facilities such as voice, data and streamed multimedia will be provided to users on an "Anytime, Anywhere" basis and at much higher data rates compared to previous generations. This 4G systems, the next generation of their old 3G systems which has 384 Kbps downloads and 128 Kbps uploads, could receive data at 100Mbps on the move and at up to a gigabit per second while static. 4G is being developed to get required data rate for numerous applications like wireless broadband access, MMS, video chat, mobile TV, HDTV content, minimal services like voice and data, and other services that utilize bandwidth.
Goals and Features of 4G cellular wireless technology
* Higher data rate.
* Higher download rate.
* A spectral efficient system.
* Provide ore simultaneous users per network.
* A nominal data rate of 100 Mbit/s while the client functioning and 1 Gbit/s while client and station are in static.
* A data rate of at least 100 Mbit/s between any two points in the world.
* Smooth handoff across heterogeneous networks.
* Seamless connectivity and global roaming across multiple networks.
* High quality of service for next generation multimedia support (real time audio, high speed data, HDTV video content, mobile TV, etc).
* Interoperability with existing wireless standards, and
* An all IP, packet switched network.
Required Technology for 4G
Technologies required for 4G include:
* Flash-OFDM
* The 802.16e mobile version of Wi-Max
